Survive DC: Journey to the End of the Night is a free street game run through the streets of Washington, DC. This is a race and a chase; players try to make it to six checkpoints as quickly as possible, without being caught by chasers. You can read the full rules at survivedc.com.
The most recent run was on May 2, 2009, with 650 players and 50 staff members. To organize the event (and to provide extra information to some players), we set up a number of twitter feeds. I used the SIMILE Timeline widget to create a timeline of the night from these feeds. You can also find more stories and photos from the night at survivedc.com's 2009 recap.
